'Tis the Season

What with one thing or another I have not had much chance for crafting in the past month... OK well the 60 wedding invitations I made don't count :) But with it being Christmas, I made a couple of pieces...

This arch I made for a swap... I used HOTP background papers and coloured the stamped image in with chalk.

I also made a Christmas Decoration for a 1-2-1 swap with a very talented lady - and as I know she received it today I decided to blog that too....

The background paper is Crafty Individuals (see my retail therapy links), overstamped with white swirls and a bit of fusible webbing topped with moon glow emobossing powder... On top of that is acetate with a gorgeous stamped image using purple stazon.... throw in a marabou feather and pearl brad and a decoration is born.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

The theme this week for Daring Cardmakers is all about birds... and this is what I came up with. The papers are by hot off the press and the stamp is by inkadinkado. A simple card but I love it.

Chalk Inks

I made this card recently for Zuzu's birthday. I hadn't had chance to craft since my shopping spree at the NEC so decided to play with my new chalk inks... I had never used them before but I am now addicted! They are great!

The Mona Lisa Stamp is by Cherry Pie Art Stamps, the flourishes by Purple Onion Designs and the rub-ons are K & Co.

The picture doesn't do it justice as I had to take the shot at night in artifical light - I go to work in the dark and get home in the dark - ah winter - aint it great! :)

Gold

The theme this week for Mixed Media Monday is Gold. This is an ATC I have made which is perfect for this theme. The background paper is by crafty individuals, with a K & Co rub ons topped with pearls - the corner charm was brass but I made it gold with rub and buff and then the finished piece was edged with gold rub and buff.

Squares

The theme this week for Arty Girlz is Squares.... I made these a couple of weeks ago for an art nouveau swap and seemed perfect for the theme - they are 4 x 4cm squares and the images are Klimt Ladies by Judi-kins (one of many purchases from the NEC hobbycraft show). The background papers have been spritzed with glimmer mist so are very sparkly :)

Wild West

The theme for Wednesday Stamper this week could not have been more perfect... Wild West... My mum loves all things Native American and she is in hospital at the moment. So instead of making her a get well soon card I made her this hanging. The papers and images are from Hot Off the Press and edged with a copper leafing pen. The hanging is from Stamp Diva - you can find them in my retail therapy section.

The feather background flourish is from Purple Onion Designs and the Native American Image is by Acey Deucy (again purchased from Stamp Diva). Throw in a couple of feathers and this is the end result.... Hope my mum likes it when I take it in to her tomorrow. :)

Happy Halloween !!!

As today is Hallowe'en, I decided to upload the Halloween Gothic arch I made a couple of weeks ago which is perfect for the Gothic Arch Challenge this week.

The paper part of the arch is stamped with marmalade distress ink pad and sprayed with china black glimmer mist and edged with black ink. The acetate is stamped with black stazon ink pad, the eyes coloured in with a green sharpie pen and the back is alcohol inked with greens and gold. All put together with a black flower and brad.
