Sweet Pea Charity

This month over at Sweet Pea Stampers the theme is your nominated charity.

I chose mine in Memory of my beautiful dog Millie.  She died aged 8 just before Christmas due to a heart condition.  So I chose British Heart Foundation.  Digi stamp used is Rachel Anderson's Queen of Hearts

Spring Colours

When I think of Spring, I think of green.  Fresh green grass, green buds starting to form etc.  Which is why I chose the colour green for my design for Sweet Pea Stampers.  For this month's design I have used a beautiful digi stamp by Joanne Schempps - Suki

The corner stamp is by Clarity stamp and the rest is bits and pieces from my stash.

Wow - it is good to be back.  Going through a bit of a tough time at the moment so my blog has been neglected, but crafting helps so here we are!

The Sweet Pea Stampers - Anything Goes

Finally!!!!

Ok so life has been a bit hectic and craft has taken a complete back seat - but I seem to have found my creative mojo again.  I made this card for a friend.  I love stamping with distress inks on water colour card and colour washing them with a water brush

Luck of the Irish

The theme this week at Sweet Pea Stampers is Luck of the Irish, so please come and join us and even try out to become one of the design team!

This card doubled up as a mother's day card for my mum. All the papers used were left over scraps. The pyramage image is by Crafty Purple Frog

Forever in Time

Another week another challenge and this week at Sweet Pea Stampers the theme is Forever in Time. I love this stamp - "The Dragon". I stamped her with Vintage Photo Distress and lightly tinted the image using a water brush and highlighted the centre of the flowers with Copper Brads. The dragonflies have a coating of distressed stickles, which is hard to see here.

I then cut her out with a scalloped die cut and matted behind a piece of gold card using the same die for a subtle highlight. The background is an embossing folder of watch cogs using coredinations card and then sanded to bring out the detail.

Some Game Spinners by Tim Holtz, a couple of brown flowers in the corner and a tassle I bought from Joanna Sheen and this is the simple but timely and distressed end result.
