The Challenge is Autumn is Here with one of my favourite deisgners, <a href="http://cck-digitalstamps-challenge.blogspot.com/2018/09/ching-chou-kuik-digital-stamps.html" target="_blank">Ching Chou Kuik</a>. So I made this card using one of her gorgeous digital images, <a href="https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/571606126/the-fading-rose-grayscale-digital-stamp?ref=shop_home_active_17" target="_blank">The Fading Rose</a>.<br />
<br /><br />
Simple, but elegant card with pattern papers and embellishments to compliment the beautiful focal image.<br />

I made ten of the same design. I used a stencil and stamp by Claritystamp. They were coloured with an ink duster brush using Distress Ink in Pine Needles and Barn Door. The deer was stamped with black Adirondack ink and then I just drew lines under its feet with a black pen to ground it. Topped off with a little gem and Merry Christmas peel off.<br />

I have used the Hunkydory Twilight Kingdom collection for the main image and the backing card. The butterfly over the moon is a black peel off. A few gems and a flower and it doesn't look that bad! Turned out better than I expected. Hope she likes it.<br />

I can't believe how long it has been since I blogged! Even the process has changed. I made something for the first time in months today so thought I would share. It gave me so much pleasure to be crafting again that I realised I need to get back into it. My mum asked for craft labels for the back of the cards she makes as a Christmas present. It looked a bit dull so I did this....<br />
<br />
<br />
<span id="goog_1046521660"><br /></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uRf144PmPcE/WB3eVczPsyI/AAAAAAAAA18/f5IFvx-1MeIwGq0A1_qIsYYOni_XE2qvACLcB/s1600/Before.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="171" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uRf144PmPcE/WB3eVczPsyI/AAAAAAAAA18/f5IFvx-1MeIwGq0A1_qIsYYOni_XE2qvACLcB/s320/Before.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br /><br />
These are her labels - I got a box from a company I subscribe to and decided to decorate it and wrap the labels in purple tissue paper.<br />
<br /><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-s-Lio0XN4-M/WB3epnB-qAI/AAAAAAAAA2A/hx_qobPlDmAXAMIySvmaauOVyEpVrN89wCLcB/s1600/After.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-s-Lio0XN4-M/WB3epnB-qAI/AAAAAAAAA2A/hx_qobPlDmAXAMIySvmaauOVyEpVrN89wCLcB/s320/After.jpg" width="241" /></a></div>
<br /><br />
<span id="goog_1046521661">I turned the lid of the box into this. My mum likes Gorjuss Girls so this decoupage seemed appropriate. Then I thought (due to dimension) how do I wrap this. So got a brown paper bag and decorated it.<br />
<br /><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_qaUVwGHDn4/WB3fBwpa5JI/AAAAAAAAA2E/5TkSyLl4baM6qvKUWfK3YsdZrT0FRBkmQCLcB/s1600/Xmas%2BBag.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_qaUVwGHDn4/WB3fBwpa5JI/AAAAAAAAA2E/5TkSyLl4baM6qvKUWfK3YsdZrT0FRBkmQCLcB/s320/Xmas%2BBag.jpg" width="283" /></a></div>
<br /><br />
I used gorgeous images from a Pollyanna Pickering set with a few pearls and flowers. Thought this image was appropriate - a daughter giving her mum a gift.<br />
<br /><br />
I hope to carrying on blogging now, so glad to be back - got loads to make for Christmas and I am so behind!<br />

<br />
So here are the "ingredients for my card":<br />
<br />
Sweet Pea Digi - A Word to the Wise by Concetta Kilmer<br />
Coloured with Spectrum Noirs & clear glitter for the moon<br />
8 x 8 blank card<br />
Silver Mirri Card<br />
6 x 6 stencil from The Crafters Workshop - Mini Climbing Vine<br />
Stencilled onto a scrap of blue patterned paper I had with Phthalo Blue Pan Pastel.<br />

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Well, what can I say? It is so great to be back
crafting properly again! I’ve missed it but just completely lost my
mojo! Anyhow the theme for <a href="http://thesweetpeastampers.blogspot.co.uk/">Sweet Pea Stampers</a> this week is to use
Kraft Card / Paper. I’ve used the stamp <a href="http://www.sweetpeastamps.com/category_38/3/-ching-chou-kuiks-Fantasy-Art-Collection.htm">Misty Allure</a> by Ching Chou Kuik
and framed her with spellbinder dies. I didn’t quite get the die out
right and ripped the bottom of it – eek – what to do – added the raffia bow </span><span style="font-family: Wingdings;">J</span><span style="font-family: Calibri;"> I used some prima butterflies and scraps of paper and ribbon left over from other projects – oh and of
course, good old kraft card! So pop on by and show us your creations x</span></div>

<br />
I chose mine in Memory of my beautiful dog Millie. She died aged 8 just before Christmas due to a heart condition. So I chose <a href="http://www.bhf.org.uk/">British Heart Foundation.</a> Digi stamp used is Rachel Anderson's <a href="http://www.sweetpeastamps.com/category_150/2/Rachel-Andersons-Digi-Stamps.htm">Queen of Hearts</a><br />

Fresh green grass, green buds starting to form etc. Which is why I chose the colour green for my design for <a href="http://thesweetpeastampers.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/spring-colours.html">Sweet Pea Stampers</a>. For this month's design I have used a beautiful digi stamp by Joanne Schempps - <a href="http://www.sweetpeastamps.com/category_143/3/Joanne-Schempps-Digi-Stamps.htm">Suki</a><br />
<br />
The corner stamp is by Clarity stamp and the rest is bits and pieces from my stash.<br />
<br />

I made this card for a friend. I love stamping with distress inks on water colour card and colour washing them with a water brush<br />

I love this stamp - "The Dragon". I stamped her with Vintage Photo Distress and lightly tinted the image using a water brush and highlighted the centre of the flowers with Copper Brads. The dragonflies have a coating of distressed stickles, which is hard to see here.<br /><br />I then cut her out with a scalloped die cut and matted behind a piece of gold card using the same die for a subtle highlight. The background is an embossing folder of watch cogs using coredinations card and then sanded to bring out the detail.<br /><br />Some Game Spinners by Tim Holtz, a couple of brown flowers in the corner and a tassle I bought from Joanna Sheen and this is the simple but timely and distressed end result.<br /><br />I am also entering this into:<br /><br /><a href="http://onesweetchallenge.blogspot.com/2012/03/march-challenge.html">One Sweet Challenge</a> - Monochrome<br /><a href="http://everybody-art-challenge.blogspot.com/2012/02/challenge-182-monochrom.html">Everybody Art</a> - Monochrome<br /><a href="http://freshbreweddesigns.blogspot.com/2012/02/fbc-85.html">Fresh Brewed</a> - Date or Time<br /><a href="http://robynsfetishchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2012/02/challenge-96-people-2262012.html">Robyn's Fettish</a> - People<br /><a href="http://cheerfulstamppad.blogspot.com/2012/02/challenge-37-land-of-fantasy.html">The Cheerful Stamp Pad</a> - Land of Fantasy<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ngal6a6JvZE/T0-_fa-CJQI/AAAAAAAAAts/r7kpEzqG7ZE/s1600/C-2012-02-05%2BB.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 270px; height: 400px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5714996998692807938" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ngal6a6JvZE/T0-_fa-CJQI/AAAAAAAAAts/r7kpEzqG7ZE/s400/C-2012-02-05%2BB.jpg" /></a>Debbiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13902369573959638253noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3764913853527775002.post-39208164033389469962012-02-25T16:53:00.004+00:002012-02-25T17:04:25.370+00:00Piggy Bank - Oink Oink<div style="font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 100%; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; ">As some of you know, my gorgeous baby dog passed away before Christmas. I love Halloween! So I took advantage of using one of my new Sweet Pea Stamps that recently arrived from the US - The Ghost by Rebecca Sinz. She is coloured with the grey tones of pro-markers.</div><div><br /></div><div>The background is black card which I added fusible webbing to, heated it to go all web like and added silver embossing powder on the top. The border is a punch by Martha Stewart and a little ribbon and silver flowers and my Halloween inspired card was done :)</div><div><br /></div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QPiO6uuOX3A/Tp6L70aB7SI/AAAAAAAAArA/3BSAyTuJA3A/s1600/C%2B2011-10-003%2BB.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 285px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QPiO6uuOX3A/Tp6L70aB7SI/AAAAAAAAArA/3BSAyTuJA3A/s400/C%2B2011-10-003%2BB.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5665119241075027234" /></a>Debbiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13902369573959638253noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3764913853527775002.post-76555640771261573232011-10-19T09:49:00.003+01:002011-10-19T09:50:31.544+01:00Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 1I am so excited - Friday 18th November at 12:01am - I have a date with the Cullens! Cinema ticket booked and now counting the days... a few hours kip and then I am going back to the 10am showing with a friend. I definitely have OCD - Obsessive Cullen Disorder :)Debbiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13902369573959638253noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3764913853527775002.post-75428722603021212502011-09-30T07:00:00.002+01:002011-10-06T17:32:24.919+01:00Emboss It<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ozHWHQf4yg4/TnTiMUcmGEI/AAAAAAAAAqc/DoD3NRJNTcA/s1600/C%2B2011-09-001%2BB.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 283px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ozHWHQf4yg4/TnTiMUcmGEI/AAAAAAAAAqc/DoD3NRJNTcA/s400/C%2B2011-09-001%2BB.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5653392133531768898" /></a><br />This week at<a href="http://sweetpeastampschallenge.blogspot.com/"> Sweet Pea Stampers</a>, the theme is Emboss it... So I bought the Cuttle Bug Forest Branches Embossing folder to go with this lovely image. I used Tim Holtz Core-dinations card and sanded it to show the core of the card. I then distressed the edges of the card and the image and used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to edge the image.. The corners are made from a Spellbinder die I cut into 4 and used a Die Cuts with a View Faux metal tag - "Dream". Added 2 gem brads to that and this is the result :) Simple but lovely.<div><br /></div><div>I mounted it on silver card and used pewter corners to compliment her hair.</div><div><br /></div><div><div>I am also including this for <a href="http://inasweetpeadreamchallengeblog.blogspot.com/">In a Sweet Pea Dream</a> - because ANYTHING GOES :)</div></div>Debbiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13902369573959638253noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3764913853527775002.post-16890463271195858732011-09-02T08:20:00.001+01:002011-09-02T16:31:51.360+01:00Heard It's Your Birthday!<div>So the fab theme this week at Sweet Pea Stampers is I Heard It's Your Birthday!
